Color management

Color management is the controlled conversion of color from one digital device to the next. The goal is to simply obtain predictable results through the chain of digital devices, starting with a scanner or digital capture to editing and then outputting back into the physical world as a print.  With care and attention the workflow can become seamless and invisible making the craft of image making fun and worry free.

We can consult on site and reel in all your equipment to an ICC compliant standard from camera to printer or help offsite by making custom ICC profiles of your favorite archival pigment papers and specific printer combination.  While manufacturers “canned” ICC profiles can be helpful to getting started with a material, a custom made profile will help build a system that is specific and unique to how you work and can add precision to a process that can be finicky.
